Prime ministers past and present, international business leaders, top academics, global opinion leaders and the Centre for Public Impact team were among 3,000 guests at the Global Transformation Forum in Kuala Lumpur. The two-day event focused on how to “operationalise transformation” by shifting dialogue into effective action.

Following keynote addresses from Malaysian prime minister Najib Razak and UNDP administrator Helen Clark, the Centre’s executive director, Adrian Brown, moderated the opening panel session of the conference. He was joined by leaders from around the world to discuss prioritisation and policymaking – “defining your true North”.

The Centre for Public Impact also hosted a lunch event for senior government leaders and top executives from the region’s leading companies, including Idris Jala, chief executive of Malaysia’s Performance Management and Delivery Unit, and where BCG Public Sector Leader Vincent Chin led a wide-ranging discussion about sustainable change and economic transformation.

The conference, which also featured addresses from former California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and Olympic gold medallist Carl Lewis, shared best practices from governments around the world about how to turn ideas into delivery.
