Vacancy: PR and Communications Specialist

The Centre for Public Impact (CPI) is a global non-profit foundation, founded by the Boston Consulting Group. We believe in the good in both governments and people, and work with our partners to reimagine government so that it works for everyone. The CPI team in North America works to advance innovative solutions that lead to better outcomes for residents. We do this by being:

  • A place where leaders and influencers come together to share insights
  • A trusted expert voice and source of insight on public impact
  • A source of practical tools and advice on how to deliver outcomes for residents
  • An executing partner to organizations seeking to drive public impact and social innovation

Through our work, we aim to help governments and their partners develop strategies, programs, and tools to improve economic outcomes for the people they serve. We do this through original research and by creating interventions to improve outcomes through partnerships with funders, policymakers and social innovators.

Sharing our insights is essential to maximizing the impact of our work. We accomplish this by hosting and participating in relevant events, sharing what we are learning through blogs and social media, and proactively taking our messages to media read by government changemakers and their partners.  To this end, we are seeking an experienced communications professional to help implement and manage our communications strategy across our programs. The PR and Communications Specialist will play a key role in shaping and executing CPI North America’s communications efforts, increasing brand visibility and expanding our reach.

This is a part-time role for a 3-month contract with the possibility of an extension.

  • Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple tasks with attention to detail
  • Strong, demonstrated ability to build relationships with people of all backgrounds
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and proven track record of completing projects within a fast-paced environment

We are a young and rapidly growing organization. To thrive at CPI you will be:

  • Intellectually curious and energized by innovative approaches to big, tough challenges in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment
  • Entrepreneurially minded, with a passion for developing strategies
  • Introspective and passionate about continuous learning and self-improvement
