Sonja Woodhouse

Sonja is the Chief Executive of Carers Trust Heart of England, a charity dedicated to enabling carers and the people they care for to have positive and sustainable lives. Sonja has a background in Adult Social Care within Local Authorities in roles including commissioning and engagement, in particular developing services for carers.  Since then Sonja has worked in the not for profit sector for a number of years developing sustainability, increasing efficiency and impact of organisations to ensure that beneficiaries receive the best quality services.

Sonja brings a strategic and analytical approach along with a commissioner’s insight into the importance of impact management. Prior to this role Sonja was Chief Operations Officer at Carers Trust East Midlands and led the development of a new impact management strategy and operating model.

Sonja is a graduate of Business Studies and holds a MSc in Policy and Politics from Birmingham University.
