Dr Caralee McLiesh is the Chief Executive and Secretary of the New Zealand Treasury. She joined The Treasury in September 2019, having previously worked in Australia as Managing Director at Technical and Further Education (TAFE) New South Wales (NSW) and in several Deputy Secretary roles at the NSW Treasury. In 2017 she was awarded the Public Service Medal of Australia for her work developing Australia’s first Social Impact Bond for families at risk. Caralee has also worked at the World Bank in Washington DC, the International Red Cross, and the Boston Consulting Group (BCG).
