The pitfalls and potential of algorithms in government are among many topics in this conversation between renowned author Cathy O’Neil and CPI’s Joel Tito.

O’Neil is the author of several books on data science, including Weapons of Math DestructionShe is also the author of the blog, mathbabe, and took time out from her busy schedule to attend our recent event in New York which examined AI and the future of government.

While she was there, she sat down with Joel to discuss ethics, accountability and accuracy  – and much else – when it comes to algorithms in government.

The Centre for Public Impact is investigating the way in which artificial intelligence (AI) can improve outcomes for citizens.

Are you working in government and interested in how AI applies to your practice? Or are you are an AI practitioner who thinks your tools can have an application in government? If so, please get in touch.
