The Centre for Public Impact and the Public Policy Forum staged a #FindingLegitimacy event in Regina, Canada, which helped spotlight the views of Indigenous youth on reconciliation and nation-building.

At this event, a group of 20 young Indigenous Canadians came together to talk about legitimacy as a path to reconciliation using an unconference format. They chose the topics and themes for the day and this led to a remarkable few hours of discussion, one that we were privileged to take part in.

You can read more details about the event in this article by Public Policy Forum’s Rhonda Moore. And for more detailed background about the challenges facing Indigenous peoples in Canada, please read this article by her colleague at Public Policy Forum, Allan Clarke.
