Precious AzubuikeIntern, UK Contact
Precious Azubuike is an intern at CPI and helps to support the UK team across communications and programmatic work.
Precious is currently studying Digital Healthcare science at Warwick University. Digital Healthcare fuses together the sciences, giving a breadth of scientific training including high-level consultation skills; a holistic, evidence and values-based approach to shared decision making; and clinical physiology. As well as developing the knowledge and skills to work with the digital technologies that play an ever-increasing role in supporting health and wellbeing.
Precious also believes in the importance of promoting educational inequality, putting this into practice as an executive for Warwick Inspire and also an Equal Opportunities officer at Warwick University.
Precious also works part-time for the Greater London Authority (GLA) at City Hall. Here she works with the Education and Youth team as a Peer Outreach Worker (POW). POWs are a group of young people from across London that are commissioned by the Mayor to engage, inspire and gather the opinions of other young people in the capital.
Her work with the GLA helps shape the policies, strategies and services that impact young people in London. The team is made up of young Londoners aged 15-25yrs old from diverse backgrounds and life experiences. The diversity of thought helps the team produce impactful work and bridges the gap between key policymakers and young people, a relationship Precious believes is vital and often misunderstood.
